Based on Cisco’s 2013 Annual Security Report findings, shown in the infographic below, your organization may not be as prepared for malicious attacks and security threats as you previously thought.
Now, maybe I’m wrong and you have it all under control, but this graphic definitely brings up valid questions and policies to consider as the technology world continues to evolve ever-more rapidly with each day.
To put it in perspective, one of the statistics provided states that, “By 2020, there will be 50 billion “things” online and over 13 quadrillion connections.”
THIRTEEN QUADRILLION?!?
That is more than my mind can fathom at the moment. If that doesn’t make you rethink your present security management plan and solution, that piece of information should make you pause and reconsider.
